Kennedy Space Center

We were fortunate enough to go on another big trip not even a month later. My family and I stayed in Florida with my in laws. It was nice to hang out by the pool, but the highlight was definitely going to the kennedy space center.

We had such a good time there, that we actually went twice. This was covered by a single admission.

I really enjoyed walking through the rocket gardens. They had various rockets from the past decades, you could go on a tour and they walked you through the garden basically explaining the evolution of space travel. Standing next to them really gave you a scale of what NASA is working on.

My favorite part was the bus tour around to the launch pad and past the vehicle assembly building. The VAB is gigantic. It was used to assemble the apollo rockets. Its door is so large that clouds have actually rolled in and start raining inside the building. It was very memorable, and for that reason I wanted some sort of keep sake.
